What if I want to book a group?

How fast will I be able to go?

Our number 1 question, it really varies by the track you choose and if you choose a car upgrade.  At a big track like Michigan with an upgrade to our Extreme car you will hit speeds North of 150MPH.  At a short track like Bristol speeds are closer to 100MPH, HOWEVER the sensation of speed at Bristol is higher than that of Michigan.  It’s all relative, and short tracks provide a big adrenaline rush but 1.5 miles and over provide the highest top speeds.  

Do I need any prior racing experience?

Absolutely not!  In fact, it will be the first time doing the experience for over 90 percent of the drivers in your class!  Don’t be concerned, our classroom instruction has been developed for years.  We will have you up to speed, driving the correct line FAST on your day at the track.  If you have really want to know how the Pro’s do it, consider taking a ride along first.  It is a huge help!

How long is the event?

The event last will last 2-3 hours for driving experiences and 1-2 hours for ride-alongs. For either event you should show up 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time. Ride-alongs only are done within the hour you are scheduled for. Customers who have a ride along and a driving experienced booked will do their ride-alongs first.

Customers with driving experience – arrive 30 minutes prior to your scheduled time for registration. At your scheduled time you will head into the safety class which will last up to 45 minutes. Then you will head out to the track and get suited up. You will do your driving experience within the following hour of your schedule time. EX: Scheduled for 10am, arrive at 9:30am for registration. Head to safety class at 10am. Head out to the track and get suited up at 10:45am. On track driving between 11am & 12pm.

**We always suggest to plan for an extra hour do to any on track delays.

What happens if it rains?

We will make every effort to get your experience in however if not each participant will be given the option to reschedule on a new track date or be issued a rain certificate to be used within 1 year from the date it was issued. Sorry, refunds are not available. For participants traveling long distances to attend our events we strongly suggest booking refundable or flexible travel arrangements. Rusty Wallace Racing Experience will not refund costs for travel or accommodation in the event of a cancellation or cancellation due to inclement weather.

What if I can’t make it?

Please be aware that we have a limited amount of dates at each location. Times are filled on a first come, first serve basis. We will do our best to accommodate your scheduling preference. If you need to re-schedule a booked experience outside of 30 days of your event, you may do so free of charge. In the event you need to re-schedule your experience within 30 days of your event date a re-scheduling fee will apply. The Fee will be equal to half of your package value. The one exception is for a documented medical situation which prohibits the customer from participating in the racing experience.

What types of cars are used?

Some of the same race cars you have seen on TV in the NASCAR Sprint Cup & Nationwide series. All of our vehicles are standard transmission,  if you need help operating a standard vehicle our pit crews will help you leave the pit area and get you up to speed quickly

Are there any age requirements?

To participate in our driving programs students must be at least 18 years old. In our ride along programs riders must be 14 years old to participate plus be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

Do I have to start out with the “The Shootout” Racing Experience?

No, only the “Rusty’s Choice” Advanced COT Racing Experience has a prerequisite.

What is provided?

All participants are provided with a Driver’s Suit, Helmet (with one way radio communication) and a HANS Device.

What do I need to bring?

Be sure to bring your Driver Information packet that you received when you placed your order. If you do not have yours, you can print another copy by clicking here. Participants need to wear closed toe shoes & clothes that will be comfortable under the Driver’s/Rider’s suit.

Are there weight and height restrictions?

Our race cars don’t have doors ALL Driver’s & Rider’s must have the ability to climb through a 15” high by 28” wide window that sits 35” from the ground. Drivers must be at least 5′ tall. Maximum height is 6′ 4″ . Waist and chest can be no bigger than 52″.

What if I wreck?

You are responsible for your health insurance. You are financially responsible for all damage caused to the car due to driver error. A Vehicle Protection Plan is available for $60.00 at Late Model tracks (under 1 mile) and $75 at Speedway tracks (1 mile), Super Speedway tracks (1.5 mile and larger) and all Canada tracks. If you purchase this plan the maximum repair cost you would be required to pay is $1000. All payments for damages must be paid at the track at the time of the incident and the remainder of your laps will be forfeited without a refund. Due to the quality of the training and cars, damage is rare. Drive participants may opt to purchase the Vehicle Protection Plan in advance, or at the track the day of your event.

Refund Policy

Your racing experience booking is fully transferable, assignable and sellable. The booking is NON-REFUNDABLE and generally can not be refunded; ALL SALES ARE FINAL.

I forgot to enter my promotion code and did not receive my discount?
Please call 401-543-FAST (3278) within 48 hours of booking and one of our agents will assist in correcting.(please note there is a $15 CC processing fee to correct this)

All booking fees are non-refundable and vary in cost per track.

Where do I enter my coupon code?

You can use this link or the link under the book now button on the menu to choose redeem 3rd party voucher. Once you select your track, lap package you will be asked to enter your voucher code.

*Customers using 3rd party coupon codes such as Groupon, Rush49, Living Social etc. these companies do not collect taxes when you purchase them. We are required to collect them at the time of booking. Any amount you see when booking after redeeming the coupon voucher is the tax from your original voucher purchase.
